The Croatian Museum of Tourism traditionally participated in the Museum Night 2011 event on January 28th, organized by the Croatian Museum Association.
This year, the museum prepared a varied program. The presentation of the catalog for the exhibition From Mud Baths to Wellness – the Development of Health Tourism in Croatia was held in Villa Angiolina, where the exhibition itself took place. The beginnings of tourism in Croatia are connected to health and wellness tourism which developed more intensely from the middle of the 19th century.
Visitors also had the opportunity to enjoy the photographic exhibition by author Vera Bilek, entitled Faces of Papua New Guinea. Vera Bilek is a member of the Photography Club Rijeka and has acquired experience on numerous journeys around the world, including Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mali, Tibet and Papua New Guinea.
Gastro-magic is the title of the cooking show by the famous Le Mandrać restaurant presented on Museum Night 2011 at the Croatian Museum of Tourism.
During the entire evening, short films depicting Croatian tourism throughout the 20th century were screened.
Over 500 visitors enjoyed this colorful program.
