Vladimir Pfeifer (70) is a great nature enthusiast, as well as an expert. For almost 4 decades, he has been observing nature and using his camera to capture its wonders, save them from oblivion and expose them to the human eye. In this period, he has created valuable photographic documentation about the nature, plants and animals of Croatia. The result of his dedication is on display at his 75th solo exhibition entitled Ars Naturae Monumenta Croatica Fauna & Flora. The exhibition is organized by the Croatian Natural History Museum.
The exhibition was open from February 28th until March 15th of 2008 at the art pavilion Juraj Šporer in Opatija.
In this exhibition, the author aimed to emphasize that nature has, much like art, created a number of unique wonders in Croatia. All of the pictures were taken in the author’s eternal search for something unique, rare, unusual or exceptionally beautiful. The photographs were shot using a traditional camera with different lenses. None of the photos were retouched, edited or otherwise altered.
