The exhibition contained menus and cookbooks, dating from the beginning of the previous century, from the Puntijar collection. This collection is the largest of its kind in Europe and contains around two thousand titles. The exhibition Gold Medals of Opatija Caterers was opened on the same day.
At the opening, Zlatko Puntijar, a caterer and collector, presented his book The Free Skill of Cooking which contains recipes by F.J. Beutel, the best known Opatija chef from the early 20th century.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Damir Bajs, the Croatian minister of tourism. The opening was attended by the mayor of Opatija, Amir Muzur, the director of the Croatian Museum of Tourism, Mirjana Kos Nalis, and the Opatija city councilman in charge of tourism, Jan Bernd Urban.
