Goran Vranić: Prows

An exhibition of photographs by Goran Vranić entitled Prove was open at the art pavilion Juraj Šporer from November 10th until December 5th of 2008.

The exhibition contained a series of black and white photographs that show close-ups of fishing boat prows. Vranić took these photographs during his two-month trip around coastal towns of Dalmatia. The recurring coastal motif of boats and close-ups of their prows become almost unrecognizable and abstract through a very precise technique and are isolated from the usual context.
Mirjana Kos Nalis, historian Igor Žic and author Goran Vranić spoke at the opening.
