The Vienna Week will be held in Opatija from 19th to 25th of September of 2011 and will include the opening of the exhibition Opatija Is Always Worth Visiting at the Juraj Šporer Art Pavilion.
This exhibition, authored by prof. Hans W. Bousska from Vienna, will refresh our memories of Opatija history and many famous guests in Opatija. This once quiet fishing village, thanks to its favorable geographic position and stable climate, but especially the efforts of a few enthusiasts, evolved in the second half of the 19th century into a favorite destination of high society and other eminent personalities, both members of European royalty and state dignitaries, as well as intellectuals and artists.
The exhibition will be opened on Saturday, September 24th of 2011 at 11:00 at the Juraj Šporer Art Pavilion and will remain open until October 9th of 2011.
