On Friday evening, at the Croatian Museum of Tourism, we opened the guest exhibition of the Museum of the City of Zagreb, “We Are New Life – The Oldest Theatre of Blind and Visually Impaired Artists in the World”.

In the year when we celebrate the 180th anniversary of tourism, the Croatian Museum of Tourism started in May this year (while concurrently working on the concept of the permanent exhibition) with the exhibition activities, beginning with guest exhibitions.

With the exhibition “We Are New Life – The Oldest Theatre of Blind and Visually Impaired Artists in the World,” we want to show that the Drama Studio for the Blind and Visually Impaired “New Life” is a true Croatian brand! The Drama Studio for the Blind and Visually Impaired has been delighting local audiences for decades, and by traveling the world with their exceptional talent and successful performances, they represent Croatia.

In a society that so slowly embraces inclusion and where every effort towards accessibility and inclusivity must be repeatedly emphasized – we are proud to present in Opatija such an exceptionally talented and successful Theatre and the exhibition of the Museum with which we have had a long-standing collaboration.

As part of the guest exhibition “We Are New Life” in Opatija, the Drama Studio “New Life” will perform the play “The Ugly Duckling” on September 15, 2024, in Opatija, as a gift to the young residents of Opatija for the start of the school year.
