A Gift from the City of Opatija on the Occasion of the 180th Anniversary of Villa Angiolina Promotion of the Porin Award-Winning Album “Wanderlust” by Ivan Pešut

“Wanderlust” is the second studio album by one of Croatia’s leading guitarists, Ivan Pešut. After winning this year’s Porin Award for Best Instrumental Album, it will have its concert promotion on Saturday, June 15th, in front of Villa Angiolina in Opatija, starting at 8:30 PM.

Pešut is the recipient of no fewer than 11 Porin Awards, confirming his status as one of Croatia’s most prominent instrumentalists. This professional studio musician, author, producer, and live performer has participated in numerous domestic and international recorded releases and concerts, collaborating with artists like Massimo, Marko Tolja, Severina, Nika Turković, Mia Dimšić, and many other well-known performers.

“Wanderlust” features nine tracks that showcase a wide range of musical expressions, from guitar compositions and jazz to ambient and film music. Through various musical genres and styles, the author creates a unique listening experience that reveals the breadth of his artistic talent. In addition to tracks from “Wanderlust,” the audience will have the opportunity to hear hits from Pešut’s first album “Timeline,” which also won a Porin, as well as new, previously unreleased compositions.

During this unforgettable musical evening in Opatija, alongside Ivan Pešut on guitar, the performance will feature Damjan Brnić on guitar, Vedran Ružić on bass, and Leonard Berisha on drums and percussion. The association Ikarski Barkajoli will offer concert attendees a special experience of enjoying premium wines from Croatian winemakers, aged for a year in the ideal conditions of the Ikarski natural phenomenon, vruja, an underwater source of mountain river streams.

The promotion is being held at the Croatian Museum of Tourism, Villa Angiolina, in celebration of 180 years of organized tourism in Opatija.
