The exhibition features 42 outstanding artworks by ten of the greatest representatives of American and European Pop Art. Stand face-to-face with pieces deeply rooted in our collective consciousness:
⚡ Andy Warhol: See the famous portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Mao Zedong, which have become enduring symbols of pop culture.
As part of Warhol’s portfolio, visitors can also admire his legendary design ventures into the music industry, such as the Love You Live album cover for The Rolling Stones (featuring a portrait of Mick Jagger), as well as covers for Diana Ross and Querelle.
⚡ Keith Haring & Roy Lichtenstein: Explore a distinctive visual language marked by vivid colours, bold contrasts, and immediate expression.
Haring’s signature street art style and iconic lines interact seamlessly with Lichtenstein’s recognizable comic-strip dots. For fans of Haring’s more minimalist expression, the exhibition also features a legendary artwork created in Naples.
⚡ Steve Kaufman & Mel Ramos: Enjoy imaginative, vibrant interpretations and glamorous, alluring nudes like the famous California Venus.
⚡ Kiki Kogelnik, Allen Jones & Richard Lindner: Experience playful, colour-rich, bizarre, and politically engaged works by European and American masters of the movement.
👤 PASSION AND SPONTANEITY: The Story of the Infeld Collection
This incredible collection is the product of a pure passion for art. Its formation began in the mid-1960s by Peter Infeld, the renowned Austrian musical string manufacturer, and his mother Margaretha, and is proudly expanded today by Zdenka Infeld.
The visual identity of the exhibition features an iconic screenprint by American artist Steve Kaufman, based on a photo portrait of Peter Infeld.
Patron Peter Infeld, who personally knew many of the featured artists and whose life was inextricably linked with music and art, left an indelible mark on the world of art collecting.
He once wrote:
“A day in which I don’t buy or wish to buy a painting is a lost day for me. In the end, my purchases are decided purely by my spontaneity and personal feeling.”
