Opening of the guest exhibition of the Museum of the City of Kaštela

“Villa Nika” is an exhibition from the Museum of the City of Kaštela, which is a guest at the Croatian Museum of Tourism. The exhibition will be opened on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 8 pm, and we invite you to the opening on this occasion.

The idea and setting of the exhibition was stimulated by the celebration of the one hundred and tenth anniversary of organized accommodation tourism in Kaštela. In addition to the Czech doctor Dr. Henrik Šoulavy, one of the tourist visionaries is certainly the first hotelier in Kaštela – Dr. Petar Kamber, who in 1902 built a family holiday house on the beach, near the Šoulavy boarding house – Villa Nika. By 1917, he had fortified the estate and arranged the park on which he was building, and in 1928 he opened the first hotel in Kaštela – the Palace Hotel.
