The Croatian Museum of Tourism is one of the partners on E_VOKED (European museums for Vocational Education) Erasmus+ project. Project coordinator is Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism (Magyar Kereskedelmi és Vendéglátóipari Múzeum) in Budapest, and other partners are: Hotel and Restauran Museum (Hotelli- ja ravintolamuseo) in Finland, Maritime and History Museum of Croatian Littoral (Pomorski i povijesni muzej Hrvatskog primorja) in Rijeka, Association of Emilia-Romagna Vocational Centers (AECA, Associazione Emiliano-Romagnola di centri autonomi di formazione professionale), Cyprus Food and Nutrition Museum (Μουσείο Κυπριακών Τροφίμων και Διατροφής), Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums in Newcastle, and Food Museums of Parma province (I Musei del Cibo della provincia di Parma).

Objectives of the E_VOKED project are:

  • to explore best practises of museums working with VET;
  • to encourage museums to engage in a permanent and structural form of collaboration with VET institutions;
  • to build museum/ heritage professionals capacity to identify the learning potential of cultural objects in a VET context;
  • to widen their educational offer;
  • to increase and diversify their audience by working out new education sessions or other activities;
  • to strengthen student’s professional identities through historical examples.

Target groups are museum professionals who work with adult audiences/ teenagers in VET, teachers of VET institutions and students od VET Institutions. The training materials will be produced in English and will be widely distributed and shared through professional networks. Participating museums will also design museum education sessions and other activities in their native languages for VET students and test them.

Another outcome of the project will be the collection of best practices shared in a digital publication.
